About Me
Hi, I’m Daniel. I Graduated from the IB from UWC Maastricht in 2024 with a 42 including a 7 in Math AIHL and a 7 in Physics HL and am now in my second year of studying Applied Physics at Eindhoven University of Technology. I began my journey as a tutor while still being in DP, offering “Subject Support” to fellow students in Math, Physics and Economics. Since graduating, I have been offering private tutoring to students in both MYP and DP.
As a tutor, I strive to engage my students in the subject that I am teaching by explaining the relevance of what they are learning to fields that interest them. I further aim to teach in a concept-based style, where I first explain the fundamental idea behind a topic and only then explain how to carry out a calculation. This way students will be able to understand what they are doing and why, rather than just mechanically being able to calculate something. I have always found that understanding the relevance and foundation of what I am learning helps me learn the subject better and I aim to tutor in the same way I like to be taught.
